| Rear Cap, Rear cap went on without to much trouble. A couple of small issues with the rear cap not being plumb from the factory so they can get it out of the mold easier. They also didn't cut the passenger side square (image) So we modified the pop rivet area a bit to accommodate. We also replaced the rear deck area with Stainless Steel and repaired more of the subframe on the bus. Once the new steel is in place, we cleaned off all the rust and coatings to bare metal with a grinder. Then an Epoxy primer was applied to the bare metal.

The new cap subframe area is made to have easy access to a rear view camera. To help with the install of the cap we drilled holes where the marker lights will be, and installed some eye bolts. These allowed us to use ratchet straps inside the bus to pull the cap under the roof skin, and hole it during alignment and install. |
